Founded in 2015, Oneka Technologies' mission is to make theoceans a sustainable and affordable source of freshwater. The company offerswave-powered and solar-powered desalination solutions. Since 2017, itsoperations have been supported by a testing facility in Fort Pierce, Florida.As early as 2014, tests conducted in Nova Scotia with an Iceberg unit validatedload reduction and storm survivability.

Today, Oneka is reaching a major milestone: having obtainedall required permits, a wave-powered desalination pilot project will bedeployed in Fort Bragg, California, in partnership with the City, during thesummer of 2026. A contract with one of Chile's largest companies alsoanticipates a deployment by the end of 2026.
